Visions of the FutureWelcome to Visions of the Future, a dark adult animated anthology exploring seven possible futures—and seven different ways humanity could lose control of its world. Across seven self-contained episodes, the series examines the collapse of truth, language, humanity, dreams, freedom, time and reality itself. Each story follows an ordinary person confronting a system designed to rewrite, exploit or erase some essential part of human existence. Rendered in a dark neo-cyberpunk animation style, Visions of the Future combines dystopian science fiction, political satire and psychological storytelling. Every episode presents a different world, a different warning and one individual who refuses to accept the future chosen for them. Episode One: The Last Broadcast of Eden-9In a rain-soaked megacity, every screen carries the same reassuring Ministry broadcast. Civil unrest has disappeared, public happiness is at record levels, and history is preserved for the protection of everyone. At least, that is the official version. When continuity editor Rhea Calder discovers an unaltered recording of a violent event the Ministry insists never occurred, she uncovers a system capable of manufacturing news, rewriting history and correcting human memory. Watched by the artificial intelligence known as SCRY, Rhea must decide whether to protect herself—or use the last independent broadcast network to make one final, catastrophic noise. Written, produced and directed by Raven Bloodstone Created by Tir Na nOg Movie Studio The future does not arrive without warning. We simply become accustomed to the sound. |
